Scotland 2019 Week 1
My record of week 1 of two weeks I spent in Scotland this year. Week 1 was in the company of my old Venture Scouts pals from the 60's/70's, who you my know try to get together for a Spring and Autumn long weekend away camping and walking along with a Summer holiday known as the "hardship tour". This year being in Scotland it was known as the "Mc Hardship Tour" The following set covers our crossing from our overnight stop on the mainland to the Isle of Arron a quick traverse a second ferry and on to out base for the week "Harbour Vista" Tarbert. The next day in my Blip Journal I called "A Two Castle Day" Walking from our base down in to Tarbert and up to its castle, the group less Rod and myself set of on the Kintyre Trail to Skipness. Rod and I returned to base for the cars to recover the walkers from Skipness. We had time for some sightseeing at and around Skipness and its Castle. ...
